My Prediction: This guy is the next big thing. His show on comedy central is pretty f' fantastic.

  1. I hope that Will Ferrell gets out of the game fast. His bit was up a while ago, before f'ing Blades of Glory and Semi-Pro, which were nauseatingly horrendous. I actually think his last funny role was in Wedding Crashers (which he was more creepy than anything), so maybe his last good role was Anchorman. He also followed Anchorman with Kicking and Screaming (dreadful) and Bewitched (puke). I wasn't a big fan of Talladega Nights, but maybe some are.

I don't know if any of you caught his 'Final Night with George Bush' thing, but it too, was unfunny. He seems like he's forcing the funny with the same schtick that is past its prime. He needs to stop hitting us over the head with the same stuff from 2000. He, like a lot of aging comedic actors, has not evolved. (See Adam Sandler)

But good news! Ferrel currently has 8, yes 8, works in the making.

He was great once. But he's losing it (see Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Kevin Nealon, Norm MacDonald, Horatio Sanz and every other former SNL star)

Dane Cook is a huge douche (also once funny, but now more self-important than important)

Rogen is in his prime, Carrell is too.

Anyone ever watch the Dmitri Martin show? That boy causes laughter for me.

  4. kevin is canadian. williams is pissed because he never had it to lose, which apparently gives him an excuse to be not-funny-critical. how about not deviating from the subject matter? seth rogen blows goat's nuts.

  5. Good analysis Miller. My angst does indeed stem from cold blooded envy of a being terrible at improvisational comedy and spending $7,000 to find that out. You nailed me. Now I can say "Will Ferrell sucks" when my 'troupe' once performed at a place called the Cornservatory. We paid to perform.

    I digress...

As for the subject matter, I don't have speakers on my work computer and am yet to watch the alleged excellent standup video. Sorry Miller. You win, okay. You win.

    But Seth Rogen is funny.

  7. I think Seth Rogen sucks too. Actually my poll was a trick bc I think they are all past their prime.

    Paul Rudd is a winner.

  8. Seth Rogan isn't bad, in fact Adam, not too long ago you were telling me how funny Pineapple Express is.

Paul Rudd is the greatest! Did you know him and Joe Buck were bestfriends growing up?

  9. I can't vote cause the video is in the way of my poll. Dane cook is obviously the worst.

Jonah Hill outlasts Paul Rudd for me in awesome-ness. (BTW - Did anyone see Rudd in Delocated on adult swim?)

Also - I once dreamt Jonah Hill was one of our good friends. He was at my apartment in LA trying to get me to act like I was at the lake house on my way out the door to work. Fun dream.

  10. Dane Cook was very funny in 2001 when he first hit the scene.

I agree with everyone on the poll being overrated but still want to see Pinneaple Express.

Thomas Lennon is one of the funnier guys writing right now.

  11. L-Bomb, are you in agreement with me that this is quite possibly the best season of Reno911! in ever?

  12. It's hard to stand the test of time when you're a comedian. People grow tired of you. Remember in college when when we thought Williams was funny? Same type of thing.

  15. Im still funny. You should see my headshot. Its funny.

Dmitri Martin is funnier than Daniel Tosh. So is Seth Rogen.
