Love Carlin, but the older Carlin got, the more jaded he became. I have a hard time believing he was "owned", though he says he was. If he was owned, he wouldn't be able to go on anti-everything diatribes as you see here.
Again, love Carlin, he's 1,233 times better than Dan Tosh, or whatever his unmemorable name is, but old Carlin hated everything and I think it hurt his comedy.
