Well, the time is upon us. We have many questions to be answered and EVERYONE must be heard from.

Will the IC make the NYE celebration an annual affair?
Will the IC members be able to agree on a locale for the event?
Will the IC hurricane destroy the celebration of a new year with bitter arguments and drunken rage?
Will Miller makeout in front of his girlfriend again? (though, as the only witness that girl did kiss Miller)
Will Williams steal another kiss from Mrs. Dalrymple at midnight?
Will Lubahn, Chambers, and Weiss make up for their absence in 2007?

I believe all of these things will ring true. So, the real question is where will the party take place. These are the cities I have heard mentioned and everyone has there pros and cons.

Austin would be money for NYE and there are two Omnis there as well. It would be a lot cheaper for most of us and I think it would be a great time. Of course, this is not the most adventurous of excursions.

Denver has been getting a lot of attention from many... and I know the Bears are pushing for this one. We could go early and do some skiing. I believe there is an Omni there as well. But this would be a pricey one.

Fort Worth. A great town and even cheaper as Hotel Mazur and The Lubahn Resort would be able to house most of us. But it's Fort Worth, and probably the least exciting place to have NYE.

Miami. The Mazurs have been pushing this one since Jan 1 2007. It would be amazing and we could probably find a lot of Cuban guys to party with... The only problem with this one is there is no hotel hook up.

San Diego. A beachside property for NYE would be a change of pace and I'm sure the Portillos would be excited about this one. We could also talk about San Fran, but no LA. Sorry, I just wont go back there. Omni-present as well.

These are the things, These are the things, These are the things, These are the things dreams are made of....

I have been to Austin on NYE and it is nothing special, well maybe it was when I was a Junior and Senior in High School, but now I do not think it would be a great place to go because it is a much younger crowd and to be frank, we are too old. If everyone wanted to stay in Texas, then I would vote San Antonio because it is a tourist city and I have done SA on the Riverwalk and it was a fantastic time.

I love Austin, and it is usually a much better place to party than San Antonio. However, on NYE, Austin is full of young people trying to get out of San Antonio, Dallas, and Lubbock.

I still vote Denver, but I can be persuaded to something else.

Should we factor in how many could go to said destination in our equation? The more the merrier/dirty gang fight hate crime right? or should we just assume that everyone will do what they can to get there?

could this be an option OMNI MAN?

Denver. Durant Williams got murdered there on NYE last year & Skiing/Shredding is an hour and a half away. What about Lake Tahoe? Can you hook up a hotel there Paris? I vote for skiing and snow.

Bear makes good points that I have to believe as true regarding Austin. However, I think this would be a good destination that would draw the most people, and the IC brings the party no matter the location....

Second note, we all obviously want Miller present as much as possible during his time home. I think it would be a nice IC gift to keep Miller close to his family and friends outside of the IC...

Final note, Melissa's holiday schedule this year is such that we need to be close to home.

Thanks,
L

4/10 votes is pretty bad. What happened to Mr. Williams these days?

Hey, easy Kev. Easy. This is my first time reading this.

Personally, I want to go somewhere warm. Chicago is colder than lakehouse Mazur (joke) and a beach would be ideal.

Dare I, dare I say...Viva Cancun?!

How about Acapulco? Serious.

We need to hear from Miller, Chambers, Portillo, and yes, Clint.

I will go anywhere.

i'm a gametime decision. actually i'll know better once we start our rotation for india. don't worry about me. if i'm on my time off for new years, i'll be there. i say a decision needs to be made by end of September so flight arrangements can be made. i vote the beach followed by skiing.

there's also this disgusting slice of heaven owned and operated by Omni.
