STEP YO GAME UP!

For those of you who have not been keeping up with the Little League World Series, team Southwest... aka team Texas.... aka team San Antonio... aka team MCALLISTER PARK, is 3-0 and just beat the heavy weight (literally) favorites Chula Vista from California last night. McAllister Park is where us Churchill boys grew up playing tee-ball, machine pitch, soccer, kite flying, etc. They are down to the final 4 teams in the US and 3 games away from the World Championship (which will be Sunday). They play Staten Island, N.Y. tonight.
Here is the link in case you might be interested in reading further. -

glad it is in texas. if it were any other city other than the city with the dirty river, this post would have never been developed. keep trying to make san antonio cool...it's still a dirty river surrounded by exiles from the rest of tejas.

long live the alamo

2 wins away now after dismantling Staten Island last night! You know, I have never realized how good Little League players were until now, these kids are "straight ballas" as Weiss said to me through text last night during the game.

Williams, I dont have a DVD recorder so I will have to send you the taped version. Will that work? Ill wait though and put Saturday's (and hopefully Sunday's) game on there too.

Chambers, San Antonio is fucking rad. You will never know though because you grew up in DFW suburbs (ya real cool). San Antonio is awesome because they totally embrace the little things that bring national attention to their city. One of the most unified cities in the world.

Chambers,

Pump your fucking breaks guy. What do you mean when

Chambers, you say it's a dirty river town surrounded by a bunch of exiles from Tejas? I think you're trying to elude to the strong Mexican population in San Antonio. I realize you grew up in Southlake where you bleached your hair blonde to stand out among your rich white brethren. That's rad. However, I love the culture in San Antonio and embrace it fully. Faust should appreciate it as well considering he had a Spanish themed wedding in SA that in my opinion represented our city puro style. I know you don't speak
Spanglish so I'll let you Alta vista that one.You need to watch your mouth when you talk shit about San Antonio
we breed ballers and champions(Spurs) here (see lakehouse B Ball game). Also, landscape wise, SA has tornado Valley beat by far. Texas Hill country vs. Flat nothingness and big hair. Real cool. Big up McAllister Park.

If San Antonio joined Mexico it would be missed about as much as Minnesota to Canada.

Spell check me Weiss because I give a fuck.

Right "L". It would be missed about as much as you if you moved back Minesota er uh Canada. Oh and I could give a fuck about your opinion of SA. Spread the love.

ok, everyone calm down. This post was not intended for personal bashing.

Don't worry Bear, your post was excellent and I actually watched the game thanks to your post.

Weiss, the complex, culturally diverse, business, web, and socially savy character that he is was just schooling me the simpleton from Minnesota on a few of lifes finer points including spelling.

Weiss, you're not in a rap group.

Quote:
"You need to watch your mouth when you talk shit about San Antonio

- None of the Spurs were "bred" in San Antonio. (This is only going to cause further ugly posts)

- When citing "ballers and champions", please don't reference a 3-on-3 basketball game between hungover, moderately fit white guys at a lakehouse.

- And just to ignite the flames of blog angst and ugliness, I don't know any "ballers" whose parents still pay their rent.

Yes, I "went" there. Why? Why the need for this comment? I could resist, and probably should, but damn, when is the stupid charade of unintelligible comments (ie Spicoli) and viral 7th grade insults going to stop?

Cant someone post a movie review, talk about a new band they like or voice an opinion about the death of the last Kennedy? It sucks that 1 out of every 4 posts evolves into little post tantrums where we have the same arguments about San Antonio vs. Dallas or some arbitrary sports game, when we ALL SUCK AT SPORTS. (Except me. Wink)

This post was about fucking Little League, and three minutes ago I read "landscape wise, SA has tornado Valley beat by far. Texas Hill country vs. Flat nothingness and big hair".

You're talking shit about landscapes. Really? Landscape trash talk. It's agony. Jeezus, write a funny haiku or send a picture of a guy you know from work named Tad, but please, stop the dumbing-ness of the blog. I'd prefer to learn something from my friends than watch them berate each other.

I'm being a prick and whiney. Sorry. I'm worried about the blog and wish we had better things to say to each other than "You suck. No, you are the one that sucks. I disagree and believe it is you who sucks."

For the record, "breaks" are small times of rest, like at work or while studying. "Brakes" are what you would pump to slow down.

If youuure goin to cowrect some1s gramer, acpect scrootiny.

Williams, Is VHS ok? I could maybe download it and send it as a large file. Just let me know. ~K

Adam said...

VHS is perfect. I can fast forward through commercials of Tom Emanski's Back-to-Back-to-Back national championships, featuring Fred McGriff.

L said...

David Justice was the heart of those teams!

Adam said...

The Tom Emanski back-to-back-to-back commericals tried to sell instructional videos. Dont you remember the robotic kids throwing baseballs into trashcans and hitting balls off of tees that used to be on every ESPN commercial? McGriff sponsored 'em. They were the 91, 92 and 93 champs, though the commercials ran for 12 more years.
Im sure we saw it high when you used to watch Playmakers, the worst show ever made. But Portillo loved it.

that was funny. relax people. I wrote it to excite some people and succeeded. Life is more interesting than getting angry at a pointless comment. I heart la cantera.
