Just listen to me......

Saturday night, I saw something that I have never seen before in my entire life of watching football. Tanner Brock, aka Badass Mother Fucker, lost his helmet during a TCU punt return. Instead of going finding his helmet or going half speed the rest of the play, Brock (who is a true freshman) continued at 100% and ended up air lifting an SMU defender (as you can see in the above picture) WITHOUT his helmet on! And he didn't just stick him with his shoulder pads either, this was head to helmet. Do not ignore this video, it is 20 seconds long, and I know some of you hate watching videos (Faust) but sometimes you should sit down and pay attention to videos that your friends put out there for you:

If you still decide not to watch this 20 clip of this hit that was #2 in the SportsCenter hightlights on Saturday (how it didnt make #1 is beyond me) then you are not only a terrible fan of your great Alma Mater, but you are a communist and I do not wish to speak to you ever again in my entire life. I will hate the living shit out of you forever. HATE, I said.

i dont understand why your so adamant about a football player doing his job. you used the words hate, communism, and not and friend. i hate communists not friends... is that what you meant? i love you kevin. spearing an elk is way cooler than this.

Kevin, I want you to apply to be a coach at Churchill. That is your destiny. I'm not being sarcastic. Someone who loves football as much as you should make a career out of it. By not being involved in football, you are not depriving yourself as much as you are depriving the game. GET IN THERE BEAR!!!

Ive always thought about it Williams, always thought about it. Im still young though, we'll see what happens.

Faust, you have played way to much Big Buck Hunter. I cannot believe that you agree with Marc about the Elk video.

Marc, I love you too.

SMU is getting better. Not the same SMU of old.

P.S. That hit was fucking amazing! I remember some of my favorite times in football were punt returns because you always had a chance to blind side somebody, and WITHOUT a freaking helmet! Man...

Did you ever play "Thunder Alley" or whatever your respective school called it where players formed a circle and you did a one-on-one or two-on-two battle royale?? That was the 2nd greatest football game ever.

Best game:
Two players stand in the center of the field. Entire team at one endline/goalline try to run across field to other endline/goalline. Two dudes in center tackle as many people as possible. Every player tackled stays in middle. It goes back and forth until eventually it is like 43 dudes chasing after 4. It was like organized smear the queer. I love football. I love running into people very hard.

That second game sounds awesome, Im not sure I ever played that!

Fuck ya on the hitting drills though! 1-1 was the best, usually saved for the end of practice when everyone was all geeked up because practice was ending.. Offense player with ball and defense player, start off laying on your back, jump up, turn around, and BAM! Knock that pussy RB to the ground and get ambushed by all of your defensive teammates... oh man, the days...

Since I know most of you wont copy and paste the hyper link, this is what it says:

FORT WORTH -- TCU's Tanner Brock, a true freshman linebacker, made all the national highlight reels (including top plays on ESPN's SportsCenter) for his block -- without a helmet on -- to help spring Jeremy Kerley on his 71-yard punt return against SMU in the second quarter on Saturday. Brock lost his helmet earlier in the play and continued on, making a key block.

ESPN contacted TCU for an interview with Brock on Monday. Brock told TCU media relations director Mark Cohen that he didn't want to do the interview. "That's the first time I can remember a kid turning down a big national interview like that," Cohen said.

Cohen sent a text message explaining that ESPN wanted an interview, and Brock was very apologetic and declined. He told Cohen that he felt that he hadn't done enough on the field yet to warrant the interview, and that Kerley should get the interview because he broke five tackles on the play.

TCU coach Gary Patterson was pleased that Brock declined the interview for those reasons, saying it showed a lot of maturity. "That was totally his call," Patterson said. "I didn't say anything to him."

very impressive

Adam said...

Wow. I think I got a minor chill. What a money dude.

If that were me, I would have taken the interview, painted my face and thanked God for my blocking ability.

Tanner Brock is cooler than me.
