OK, so obviously no one wants to follow up the most epic post in IC history, but I do like attention so I figure I will take a stab at it. Here is my confession: I had this poster hanging up in my room. I f' love Alanis Morisette. I welcome criticism or support, and offer this question, "What questionable posters did you have as a kid?"

Alanis was rad, I had the Jagged Little Pill album. No posters though, in fact, I think thats a little too much. Im not sure I wouldve been friends with you had I known you then. The only woman I had on my wall was the Pamela Anderson swimsuit calendar '95-'98, the rest were mainly sports teams/players. I had Dave Matthews Band poster and a poster of a monkey laying down with a caption reading "Is it Friday yet", but hell no Im not going to put an Alanis, Jewel, or even Ace of Base poster up. That is friendship suicidal, especially for a kid already suffering on Accutane.
I might have screamed laughed when I read:
"and a poster of a monkey laying down with a caption reading "Is it Friday yet"
Then you referenced Accutane.
Well done.
I had the Michael Jordan "Space" poster, a Dirty Dunk (which isn't a poster), and a poster of the layout of the grounds of Six Flags Great America in Chicago, which was pretty questionable.
My most questionable wall decoration, aside from the Wuzzles you could still find in my room at age 13, were my Stitches. I got seven stitches in my knee when I was 12. I was so proud of them that, when I got them out, I put them in a plastic bag and put them on my wall. A few weeks later, I had a sleepover party. One friend, an arrogant guy named Brad, pointed to the stitches and asked:
"Are these your first pubes?"
All my friends laughed and mentioned my pubes a dozen more times during the night. I took them down shortly after.
This is the first time I have spoken about that night. Fuck Brad.
From about 3rd to fifth grade, I was a huge fan of Vanilla Ice. I had a collage of him on my bedroom door at one point.
I think I got the full page pictures from Tigerbeat magazine.
While we are on the topic, I recently recited "Ice Ice Baby" before a crowd of fine bar patrons at Boneheadz (a local watering hole near my home in San Antonio) on Karaoke night. I noticed that I didn't need the standard telepromter, as the words have been embedded in memory forever. This is my confession. I bid you adieu.
Since some of you are not talking I am going to take some guesses.
Butz- Ray Lankford
Chambers- "Bart Simpson, Don't have a cow, man!"
Portillo - Budweiser girls
Lubahn- Bo Jackson
Brown - A generic yellow Lamborgini
Miller- Will Clark
Mazur- David Robinson
How'd I do?
will clark is scary accurate.
He fits you. That one was easy.
Hahah, that was funny Faust. I bet you nailed Chambers and Lubahn too
What about t-shirts?
I had a Hypercolor shirt.
And a Simpsons shirt:
"Eat My Shorts"
Almost, Ronnie Lott poster was my pride and joy.
anyone here ever bold enough to wear Cross Colors? It was very Spike Lee at the time...
I remember I wore the T that featured thuggish versions of Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, and Wile E. Coyote.
Oh, damn Faust! You were in La Raza!
Are you serious Faust?
We should throw a party where we all wear terrible shirts.
Portillo can just dress normal.
Faust, can you describe the shirt Lee was wearing at that Whaler place in VB? I remember a silhouette of a woman with bright red lipstick....
I wore a lot of jerseys back in the day, which apparently is cool now. I wore a Michael Jordan jersey to school in 7th grade on a day that happened to be photo day, a girl on the bus said "you're wearing a jersey to school on photo day?!" What a bitch.
In my quest to be different, I never tried to get the popular jersey. Turns out, I ended up owning odd jerseys of mediocre players.
Of them:
Jim Jackson, Mavs
Nick Van Exel, Lakers
Dennis Rodman, Spurs
Jacques Vaughn, Univ. Kansas
Raef LaFrentz, Univ. Kansas
Paul Pierce, U. Kansas
Ronaldo, Inter Milan
The only jerseys I would wear now would be:
Josh Smith
Gerald Wallace
Ramon Sessions
Rajon Rondo
Heip Sop Choi
DeAngelo Williams
Jozi Altidore
My most embarrassing item wasn't an actual object. It was the three horizontal lines I had shaved into the side of my head at age ten. However, I know Portillo is a bit worse. My first memory of him is the day he came to school after trying to shave lines into his own head...Portions were vertical...I think I mentioned it at his wedding.
Hahaha. That's a great story! Those lines were kind of edgy back then, I don't think my parents wouldve allowed that even if I tried.
Williams, you had a Jacques Vaughn jersey from KU? That's pretty sweet.
My only not so popular bball jersey was Corless Williamson - Arkansas
I believe I was wearing an old Jacques Vaughn jersey at Trail Lake the day a kid called me a "kidnapper".
How many Spurs jerseys have you owned?
I like the photo day jersey. There's always a day when the coolness of a jersey is crushed when you look like a fool. Church jersey would be a good example of this, as would water park jersey. Faust had a co-worker who went no-undershirt jersey to work.
The gentleman's name was Ken Bonzon. Do you know what a 42 year old Italian man looks like wearing a Nowitzki jersey with no undershirt? He looks fucking rad.
Dude, I CANNOT believe that Brown rocked the lines in the end, that is money although you do seem a bit white for that?
I have only owned 3 jersey's and they would still be bad ass.
C Wooood - Michigan
Lott - Raiders
Stevie Y - Redwings
My mother would not allow me to rock the zebra stripes. I thanked her for that today.
Jersey's I used to own:
SA Spurs - Dennis Rodman
US Olympic Dream Team Jersey - Reggie Miller
1994 German National Soccer team jersey (I sold this bad boy on eBay six years ago for $50.00 American)
How about how we used to wear said Jerseys? Tucked in with a white undershirt. Wow.
What about the Umbro phenomenon?
I was Umbro crazy.
I'd take a bet that 7 of 11 of us also owned Sambas at one point.
I owned a pair. Wore them with matching umbro short and shirt combo but I wasn't the type to roll up the short sleeve sleeves....were you?
I hate to be a damper, but I don't think Reggie Miller was on the dream team. Prove me wrong.
I owned Sambas and many Gazelles.
I had a Deon Sanders #21 Falcons jersey. I still like Deon.
Dream Team II. I stand corrected. He also played on Dream Team III.

We just bought Jack his first pair of Sambas on Sunday....it was a good day
So, 4-for-4.
I bet Butz didn't have sambas.
Kevin?
Miller?
I'm banking on Mazur. Mikey still rocks white and green gazelles.
sambas owned to this day. i will be wearing them in cr. and the green and white rod laver's are still in commission.
Yup, had sambas and rocked umbros.
