A little help from my friends
Dear friends,
Where are you? Why don't I know? Why do I feel obligated to write this post at 10:20 at night and add a Joe Cocker video as a plea, not to get "activity" on our blog, but to actually hear from you so that I have some sort of knowledge of what you are doing and who you are becoming?
Truth is, this is the place where I hope to get a little help from my friends. This is our "social network" that we don't have to share with 321 meaningless acquaintances that give you a "like this" thumbs up when you publicly post something inane about how you hate watery oatmeal.
Sort of tired of coming to this blog with my 10 best friends in the world and crossing my fingers that there will be a new comment.
So I ask, where are you? Where is Brown, where is Chambers, where is Butz, where is Mazur, where is Weiss, where is Lubahn, where o where is Portillo?
I'd really like to know what is happening in the world of my friends. We see each other 6 days a year (maybe) and, for me, this is the tool I use to keep up with everyone. I feel like if we let it die, we'll slowly become strangers and see each other at Miller's bachelor party in seven years and talk about how we used to be friends, or spend most of the time trying to wade through the disappointing awkwardness of the reality that we actually don't have a clue about who each other has become.
We have careers, kids, mortgages, debts and vices, but if they consume all of our time, then I feel like we're choosing them instead of choosing friends. If that is the choice, so be it, but I'm willing to fight it. Willing to take 386 seconds of my precious time and post something stupid about how eating rice and beans for breakfast has grown on me or why I think talking about weather is the worst conversation in the world unless there is a hurricane, mudslide or 10+ inches of snow.
I'm sure this is already too long, so I'll stop now and hope that Mazur posts something insane that makes me laugh and wish I was hanging out with people I cared out, not some jackass named Rodrigo Llantas who thinks whorehouses are cool.

Life in a Day
I think this looks cool. If I'd lived in the First World, I'd see it.
Oscar-winning film director Kevin Macdonald's Life in a Day was born out of a unique partnership between Ridley Scott's Scott Free UK and YouTube. The film is a user-generated, feature-length documentary shot on a single day—July 24, 2010.
Enlisted to capture a moment of the day on camera, the global community responded by submitting more than 80,000 videos to YouTube. The videos contained over 4,500 hours of deeply personal, powerful moments shot by contributors from Australia to Zambia, and from the heart of bustling major cities to some of the most remote places on Earth.
Life in a Day brings together the most compelling footage from YouTube to create a 90-minute film crafted by Macdonald, executive producer Ridley Scott, producer Liza Marshall, and their teams. The film offers a unique experience that shows—with beauty, humor, and joyful honesty—what it's like to be alive on Earth today.

would your girlfriend/wife (were she, for the purpose of this melodrama, my girlfriend/wife) eject, annul, cease, desist, decease, lay waste, stop-short post-haste, monogamy's hectic pace--obviously past three years of relating factor in to this tragic comedy--were she to sniff the following exchange? from facebook:
added variables for kevin:
1) her current boyfriend is a defensive lineman/deep snapper for the cowboys, a canadian fella named "LP".
2) and for those that remember brooke, well...
3) random poll: is my above communique an open-ended attempt at dragon-slaying bw?
i am morpheus' quixotic camel, and the above is the straw that broke my back. well.. that, piled on with all the other shit.
two broken steel supported legs, two enormous hearts, trustless and tepid, too littled too lated. one average penis, one tempestuous lesson-filled love-affair, thrust aside, now three years later... and i dont know whether im confused, exhausted, or drowning in caustic relief(hers/mine?). as non omnis moriar and all's for the best. she was a great one, graceful and cunning, breezy and numbing, she just so plainly, not for an ass is as me.
was i killing her slowly?
i wouldve asked her to accept me wholly this november. around thanksgiving. she seemed like worth fighting.
love is real.
grit is real too. and in my himmhawing lay love not worth prizing.
boy seeks tenacity, exclusion from tucked-tail dependency, seeks balanced deficiency. seeks somewhat crazy. seeks harlot and lady.
no more week-long we break we. no more curses from folly. no more ask if we happy.
the lord, he did bless, and then did undress me, pressed and caressed me, and now he does test me.
tearfully, there will always be, sweet monika marie.

Louis CK is pretty f' brilliant. I know people have talked about him before, and I may be late to this party- sue me.
His show, "Louie" on FX is ball dropping funny as well.
Any one see it?
Any one have a good show worth sharing? Or at least a show you think is good and every one else thinks is terrible, and it's really funny when you get called out for enjoying, "Meet the Browns"

Katie and I met Coach Dougherty at the Houston Airport one time while the team was traveling for a preseason game. He was one of the nicest people I think I have ever met. We ran into him again at a football game about a year later and he actually remembered us from the airport and spoke to us again. I know a lot of Horned Frog alumni were not fond of him during his brief coaching period at TCU, but I always appreciated his sincerity as a human.
