He actually had one of his best games of the season. I thought he was going to be a terrible NFL QB. I don't know if he will be a pro bowler, but he sure has proved me wrong.
Tebow, unlike other Heisman winners like Jason White, Tommie Frazier, Troy Smith, Eric Crouch, and Gino Toretta, is at least playing in the NFL (and winning).
Who cares if he isn't great. Neither are 65% of NFL quarterbacks. Rex Grossman is bad and almost won a Super Bowl with the Bears. Trent Dilfer is terrible and he won a Super Bowl. There's about 64 others on this list.
I've been home three days. I heard about Tebow in the Houston airport and then again in Dallas. He was talked about at my nephew's birthday party on Saturday and my stepdad showed me an SNL video about Tebow yesterday.
Why do people care, and why is pop television culture (and sports) dictating what everyone is talking about? It's sickening, disappointing. The Idiocracy is upon us. Don't be a part of it.
When everyone talks about the same topic - which doesnt pertain to them in the least - I think originality is dead. Makes me think preferences are being decided for us, not by us.
I understand your point, but I disagree that Tim Tebow does not pertain to us. I think the reason he is causing such a reaction is not simply that he's on TV, but because people feel strongly about what he represents. Most notably, Christianity.
It shouldn't require an average quarterback thanking God to spark religious conversation. Kid wants to be evangelical, let him. The creator of Steve Young's religion found golden plates on a mountain. Then they disappeared.
Religion is personal. Different interpretations are expected. How many muslims play in the NFL? What would happen if Cam Newton praised Allah after every TD?
PS - Fast food is for fat people. Don't eat it. Cook dinner.
its about one ness, unity... pi... if you will... what do all these fellows, and dilfer, and dibble, and soon... farnsworth at fox. that's right, the mullet of prime time media. business at the helm, au natural at the throne, or toilet, or...

Pop stands for popular. It's popular, that is why every one is talking about it. What do you want us to talk about- Beowulf?
I am part of it. I like pop culture. I don't think that makes me a dumb dumb.
