Ah yes, it was Lamar Odom and RoboCop.
Weiss's contention is these two men, one a fictional re-creation of a dead human in cyborg's clothes, and the other a fictional Maverick, possibly dead human in basketball clothes, look very much alike.
Please post side-by-side photos to judge.

weiss has a korean family convinced we're brothers. though not difficult to pull off, amuses non-korean in me.
I think I may have agreed to the RoboCop/Lamar comparison, but feel bad about doing so now.
