Its the real deal. I did "favorite" a tweet that mentioned his name earlier in the day.
This is a direct message, from the real GP. I think its kind of weird myself.. He needs to not be asking how Im doing and think about how is 2014 football team is doing.
Remember, I got into a conversation with him last year on twitter after the UT loss. I mentioned him in my tweet after he called out the fans for leaving after the 3 hour delay. That was my last contact with him until he randomly reached out to me last week.
I am still having trouble believing this??? I am not saying you are making it up because you would not make it up, but it seems off. Maybe if he posed an actual question or stated a fact, but the fact it is so open ended, like he was ready to engage in a Twitter discussion is very odd. Maybe he was trolling for gay dudes? You might have a breaking story on your hands.
Believe me, I was just as confused when I got the message. That is the reason I wrote him back was to ask a question, to see if he was real. I do not think the TCU motto has officially been released yet, so I guess we'll see if it holds true.
Apparently he is very active on Twitter. My sister-n-law also got into a conversation with him after she started following him.. it's weird.

I have met Gary Patterson about 7 times, one time playing golf with him for about an hour... maybe he remembers me. I have no fucking clue.
