ESPN FILMS: CATCHING HELL

This premiers tonight on ESPN. This was suppose to be part of the 30 for 30 documentaries but was not ready in time. Should be very intriguing.

I think this was the beginning of the end for my Cubs allegiance. The amount of hate this poor guy received just made me uncomfortable. Shame on Moises Alou and shame on Cubs fans for blaming an innocent fan.

innocent fan?

the cubs, a century's worth of catastrophic cursed baseball nigh an end, pissed away through no fault of their own. some schmuck, obviously a poser fan, steals a needed out, extending ruth's curse one more year, at the least.

shame on you kevin.

that bearjew shouldve died that night.

I agree. I'm not interested in your weepy violin playing or lost Cubs allegiance.

If you are sitting on the field during Game 6 of the NLCS, don't reach into the field of play to catch a foul pop-up, jackass.

If there's a ball between you and an opposing outfielder for a homerun at the wall, yes, reach in and grab it to at least get a ground-rule double and avoid the out.

Foul pop-up for crucial out: hands behind your back and/or in pockets. Let it hit you in the face or Moises Alou spill your beer if need be.

Everybody has a destiny Kevin. Steve Bartman created himself.

There were 4 other people around him going after the same ball! Did yall watch the documentary? It was insane! Cubs fans were throwing their beers at the guy and chanting "Asshole". Security guards had to disguise him in order for him to get out of the "Friendly Confines" alive!!

Its uncomfortable to watch human beings act that way over a sporting event! You and Miller have either forgotten just how bad it was or yall are smoking crack!

Cubs were 5 outs away from going to the World Series, up 3-0 going into the bottom of 8th when this took place. Marlins scored 8 fucking runs in the inning, it was not Bartmans fault!

If the fans of Chicago should blame anyone, then blame Alex Gonzales for not fielding the double play ball that couldve ended the damn inning! Or blame Prior! Or blame Dusty Baker! But to ridicule an innocent fan, causing him to have to change his life forever because of a stupid baseball game is just shameful. Bartman was not responsible for 8 runs.

Here's the video from the inning that night. Gonzo's error occurs at the 5:05 mark.

Wow. It was a great documentary. I actually do feel bad for the guy now. I did not before, but I really, really, really do now. His life was ruined. The documentary is well worth a watch. Cuck the Fubs.

a bearjew is someone who takes something from you and cant do a thing about it.

You're absurd. This guy is the most star crossed fan ever. Let it go. Let Bartman live.

I went back and watched the inning. Blame Gonzalez and Dusty Baker for the meltdown, but blame Fox for continuing to return to film Bartman over and over again. They made him. F'ing media.

Sounds like the documentary is pretty heavy. Maybe it will get Bartman buzz going again and they'll let him sing the 7th inning stretch next year or hire him as a color guy for WGN. It's the least they could do for robbing him of a few years of his life.

What does he do now? I assume they never talked to him for the doc. Dude is in hiding I think.

PS - Bearjew.
