Game 5
Three game 5s coming up in the next two days. Got me thinking:

What is the best way to win a playoff series?

Walk-off Homerun

Game-tying run gunned down at the plate for final out

(Think Pudge Rodriguez blocking the plate like a caveman in 2003)

Bloop Single

Who cares as long as A-Rod gets bashed in the face?

(I think Varitek asked him "Why would we throw at a .160 hitter?")

He reckons.

Great post. Baseball just seems pure. Today, I heard some yahoos on the radio discussing how MMA is more popular than baseball. I can't imagine this is true, but it may be and I guess I wouldn't be that surprised.

I hate MMA. Every one says it's a sport, and they have valid arguments to why. But I don't feel like it's a sport- it's a fight. A fight is not a sport. It seems like the lowest form of humanity that you could sell on Paperview and call a sport. Maybe I am just offended by the Affliction and Tap Out clothing lines.

MMA just seems depraved.

I am a fan of both baseball and MMA, but there is no way that MMA is more popular than baseball. The majority of MMA fans are complete assclowns, but I dont know what to say, I enjoy watching men compete in hand to hand combat. It impresses me.

I have been at both Cards games for the NLDS and the place is electric. The ralley squirrel, Pujols batting over .500, Holliday pinch hitting, Pujols going coming off first and going to third. All amazing. Great series so far. I may be jaded, but I believe the Cards get to Hallady tomorrow. Wedid it to Lee, now it is Doc's turn. Go Cards.

I've been in the cages with Miller. He reckons and pulls the ball hard. Shift outfield and 3 up 3 down.
