That is really the way it should be. I was at game 3 at Ranger stadium Saturday night. Matye was punched in the face by a Ranger fan with a lanyard around his neck holding his World Series ticket while sitting in the last row. It was pretty awesome. As I understand it, Faust lost his cousin and Chambers lost his mind at the same game.
My prediction that is sure to fuck us: Cardinals take game 6 easily. Carp takes the ball in game 7 on short rest and a nail biter ensues. I have a mild stroke during game 7 while at Cowboy stadium watching both the TCU game and the Cardinals game. I drink too much to calm my nerves and forget most of it for the next 10 years, until it begins to come back to me in a combination of dream, story telling and pictures, circa 2006.
I would like to hear more stories from the Game 3 debacle, as well as about Matye being punched in face.
I had to cover an event last Saturday night and only watched the first 5 innings of Game 3. I think I would have lost my mind if in attendance. I wished bad things upon the family of the 1st base ump.
Also, Rangers win big tonight. Jaime Garcia is incapable of a repeat performance of game 2. Unexpected big bat from Kinsler, Cruz or JoshKirk Gibson-Hamilton.
I was kind of back and forth as to who I was rooting for. When I was watching game 2 with Faust, I found myself really pulling for the Cardinals... I hate the Cowboys, I fucking hate the shit out of the Mavericks,... why should I be a Rangers fan??
Well, I am now. For my own selfish reasons, I do not want to see a Game 7 fall on the same night as the TCU/BYU game. We all know the Frogs need fans, and game 7 of the WS will probably cut into at least 50% of the TCU attendance. Fuck that, itd piss me off. So go Rangers, wrap this shit up tonight! (sorry Butz, Faust, and Weiss??)
Did they really cancel the game last night 7 hours before first pitch? Thats gay, really really gay. Weaklings! I heard they couldve played too.
Fuck the unable to close Rangers, go Cardinals. Probably was the best baseball game I've ever watched though. Please rain tomorrow in St Louis. Go Cards
